Building systems that keep working when the internet drops
Most software assumes the connection is always there. In real operations it is not: buses travel between cities, branch offices lose the line, and the work cannot stop and wait.

Start from the hardest place
When we built the operating system for Al-Ettihad student transport, the central challenge was the supervisor working inside a moving bus. If the app only works online, attendance turns back into guesswork.
How we design offline-first
- Local first: every action is saved on the device before anything else.
- Sync later: changes are queued and sent when the connection returns, in order.
- Clear conflicts: when two people edit the same record, the system decides by a known rule and keeps a log.
- Visible state: the user always knows what has been sent and what is still waiting.
What changes for the business
Attendance becomes data, not an estimate. Trips are visible to management while they happen. And operations continue whether the network is there or not.
